Newspaper blackout poem

Traditional retailers

cut-throat prices

with the simple idea that

circumstances value,

once more valuable, physical

its revenue and profits are climbing

worldwide, shifting, sticking with a playbook

a vanishing era

heavily, rapidly, limited, bargain, a rarity

a constant treasure hunt

for worth.

Minimalism~

Simplicity and living that way. The joy of have less is more by being content at where I am in life. Working to keep the clutter out of my life and mind. Being more intentional with the things that I decide to purchase but more importantly focusing those intentional acts on people and relationships.

For me, minimalism is all of these things, it helps me to be less stressed. I am reminded how amazingly blessed I am, and to help those who are less fortunate. I want to experience more compared to “having” more.

Traveling and going constantly. Meeting new people going to new places getting to experiences new cultures, food, and places. I have this un-explainable need to go to different places and travel.

Task 2

As someone who personally struggles to write for any other reason the=wn if I am being graded on it, I find it hard to see myself as a teacher who writes. I think that the concept of writing with your students can be very helpful. Especially if the task is new to you, as the teacher, and the class. Even though I wish that I wrote more I am hoping that by working on these writing challenges I will become just as comfortable in writing “stuff” as I am with fifteen page papers. I can already tell that after three weeks that I am becoming more so. And as much as the technology side of it can frustrate me I have really enjoyed writing in my blog.

I want my writing to be an example for my students. Not in the sense that my writing is that wonderful or anything but as a guide for them to know how to accomplish their task. I have had many assignments over the course of my college career that I have not had clear instructions on and wished I had an example as to what I was supposed to be doing. I don’t want my students to feel lost. I want them to find a sense of ease in writing that will allow them to not only enjoy it but to be able to do well at writing.
